Photo requirements (read before generating)
- Neutral expression, eyes open. We don't change facial expression.
- Face fully visible. No hair covering eyes; no head tilt; look straight at the camera.
- Plain white/off-white background. No gradients, textures, or shadows.
- Head-and-shoulders framing. Head should fill roughly 50-69% of photo height (chin to top of head).
- Wear everyday clothing. Avoid uniforms/uniform-like outfits and camouflage. Prefer solid, darker colors.
- No filters or heavy retouching. Optional outfit or lighting correction may be considered digital alteration and is not guaranteed for submission.
- Good lighting. Even light, no harsh shadows.

How Visa Photo differs from Headshot
Visa Photo is compliance-first. We aim to produce a photo that meets common visa/passport submission rules: correct framing, plain background, and natural appearance. We avoid changes that could be considered altering your identity (e.g., changing facial features or expression).
Headshot is presentation-first. It’s designed for LinkedIn/resumes and can apply stronger aesthetic improvements (lighting, background, style, outfit), as long as you still look like you.
